Who is Dialog?

Dialog has three partners, all holding an MA (translation and interpretation) and state authorisation as translators and interpreters. Translation is both our profession and our deep passion. We keep up to date through the media, courses, conferences and trade journals.

Translation – what about quality?

We are conscious of our customers’ expert knowledge. Therefore we determine terminology and the linguistic and cultural levels of a text in a dialogue with our customers. Moreover, the use of translation tools and term databases helps ensure consistency. No translation leaves the house until a colleague has vetted contents and language. With Dialog, confidentiality and timely delivery are taken for granted.

Translation – what fields does Dialog cover?

Dialog covers most subjects. Some of our fields of expertise are:

  • Translations relating to criminal and civil proceedings, human rights, financial statements, corporate documents, patents, agriculture, energy and the environment, insurance, education, marketing, human resources and pharmacy
  • Proofreading, linguistic revision and terminology
  • Legal and business interpretation as well as conference interpretation

Certified translation – what does that mean?

For a certified translation, the translator certifies in writing that his or her translation is correct. In Denmark only state-authorised translators can validly certify the correctness of a translation. For use abroad, a translation often has to be legalised as well, which means that the translator’s signature is authenticated by one or more Danish authorities. The chain of signatures may also have to be authenticated by the embassy of the country in which the document is to be used.

Interpretation – what can Dialog offer?

Dialog offers consecutive legal and business interpretation from Danish into English and German, and vice versa. We are used frequently as interpreters in both civil actions and criminal proceedings by the police, the courts and lawyers.

Conference interpretation is available from Danish, English and Swedish into German only.
